KL Business Trip Day 7 (18 December 2005 Sunday)
woke up at 7:15am... told SK that i did not intend to visit the sky bridge any more... just not my cup of tea... he left while i continued with my sleep... woke up at around 10am... SK was back too... his comments about the sky bridge: not fantastic lah... nothing much to see... yet it was crowded...
i got up, showered and got ready for yet another day of shopping... SK went to the gym!!!!! i only did gym last year when i was in Bangkok for business... this trip there's not enough time for shopping already, where got time for gym?!?!
i was dilly-dallying in the hotel room when SK came back at around 12pm... we went out for lunch and off i went to KLCC to start my shopping...
first stop it was Kinokuniya... nothing much and yet i spent about an hour in it... bought a Chinese book (FYI, i may look, sound and behave like a potato, but i still read Chinese lor) about one of my favourite authors, San Mao (three strands of hair, literally)... she committed suicide back in 1991... shocked the Chinese literary world...
after that i simply "window-shopped" from the top floor all the way to the second floor... visited some nice shops: Ombak, Lotus Arts, etc... but prices too steep for me... skipped the second and first floors cos they were boutiques... i could never afford anything from them... so don't waste my time...
ground floor had Zara, PDI, etc... pure window-shopping for me...
at around 3pm, i took the LRT to Pasar Seni, where Central Market was... nice handicrafts... bought a couple of sarongs (or sarong pants)... wanted to wear something different for Chinese New Year 2006... hehe...
then i visited my all-time household shop, Peter Hoe... there's a small shop at the corner of the road, and a huge shop in a building 2 blocks away... visited both shops... spent RM158 at the smaller shop and RM187 at the bigger shop... completed my Christmas shopping for gift exchanges... bought something for Kerry's new place too... hehe...
after Peter Hoe, i had a quick dinner before walking "aimlessly" in Chinatown again... while i was walking in the narrow aisle, all of a sudden, all the make-shift stalls started moving... the owners started packing and the carts were being pushed away... what else but a raid had started... after less than a minute, it was noted to be a false alarm... the owners started putting their goods back for sale... what a sight that was...
i decided to sit down for dinner at this "old-time kopitiam"... ordered toast with kaya and butter, nissin noodles and a cup of iced coffee... very yummy... i also bought three packs of instant coffee from the kopitiam...
took the LRT back to the hotel... unpacked all my stuff... took out the extra hand-carry luggage bag i brought along... guess it's going to be another fun night of packing on Monday... hehe...
**********
after my shower, sat down to type the last three blog entries before heading to bed...
Goodnight Peter Hoe...
