Great Weekend...

lost a friend through MSN... what a way to start my weekend... hahahaha...

Bull Run 2006

the downpour started from the late afternoon, just before out meeting time of 5pm... waited in the office in my shorts and t-shirt...

at around 6pm, news came from SGX, the organiser, that the run is to go on... flagged off at 6:30pm at the Padang... completed the 3.2km in 25 minutes... wasn't running my own pace... was running with my staff and colleagues... this is the second run i am running with the company in the rain... the previous one was the Run For Hope 2006 (in Sentosa)...

waited for our goodies bag... got ourselves a cup of free beer (Chang Beer)... came back to the office, packed and left...

met up with SL, LK and Kerry for dinner at Terra Cafe Bugis Junction... showered at California Fitness Bugis before that... passed LK the CDs containing the music and songs for his wedding next Sunday... Kerry and i have been roped in to look after the sound system for that day... sounds fun...

Friends And Dollies Saturday

Bodycombat was last minute cancelled by me cos looking at my schedule, we won't have time to visit the nursery to shop for plants... lunch was at Cineleisure food court...

it was an experience shopping at a nursery on a rainy day... with umbrellas and raindrops hitting on your face... learnt a bit about plants and flowers... was mesmerised by this red orchid... but don't think i can ever nurture anything to bloom...

after coffee, met up with Eugene for dinner at Swensen's Funan... before heading to Victoria Theatre for The Little Shop Of Horrors... what a disappointment that turned out to be... the same old ah lians, nurses, Malay car park attendants and nuns... and the storyline was boring and predictable...

like what Kenneth said in his SMS, i should have joined them instead... hahahaha...

Kusu Island Sunday

woke up at around 8:30am to get ready for the trip to Kusu Island with my parents, my younger brother and Patrick... my elder brother has to stay home to nurse his injured foot... i cannot remember the last time we had a family outing like this one... makes me wanna do this more often...

the trip was one filled with queues, queues and more queues... first queue to get on the shuttle bus to bring us from Car Park B to the Marina South Pier... then queue to get to the ferry... then queue to get on the ferry... faintz...

dad was feeling the tiredness from the queuing even before we got onto the island... he had to rest quite a bit here and there to recuperate... i was glad he made it to the kramat at the top of the hill...

lunch was laksa and char kway teow at the make-shift hawker centre... mum bought a 3-tier "windmill"... very pretty...

Patrick spent some time with my dad during the ciggie break to discuss about cameras and photography... time for me to reflect on my attitude towards dad... and gotta spend more time with him in the future...

the trip back to the mainland was much smoother... at the end of the trip, we were all feeling tired... probably due to the strong sunshine... feeling sleepy in the car...

younger brother drove my parents home, while Patrick and i had our meals at the Killiney Kopitiam in Purvis Street... shopped a little at Bras Basah and Bugis, before heading home to rest...
