In Or Out?

to move or not to move, that's the question... related to the topic on the Government's relaxation of the property rules...

kerry has always wanted to move out of his parents' place for a long time now... he did that a couple of times in the past but in the end still moved back with them... his major unhappiness about living with his parents is the lack of privacy (or rather invasion of privacy)...

dave, on the other hand, has been most reluctant to move anywhere... he's so comfortable staying with his family cos mum takes care of everything: from cooking instant noodles to peeling of fruits; from buying "liang teh" to cooking sumptuous dinner; from tidying the room to buying bedsheets... nearly everything is well taken care of...

with the new property rules, buying a private apartment is "easier"... and kerry has been very excited about it... the plan is to get an apartment big enough for himself by mid-2006... and one that he can afford, of course... don't think he will have any problem achieving that... i'm looking forward to the day when he has his housewarming...

dave on the other hand would still prefer to stay home... most likely scenario would be to purchase a 4-room HDB flat (which is cheaper than a private property) and rent it out to collect rental, while continue to live in the luxury of home-cooked food and peeled fruits... anyway, his older brother is buying the 4-room flat next to his parents now and there would be 6 bedrooms in the future for his parents and the 3 brothers... still got spare room available leh... hehe...
