Busy Sunday...
got up at 7+am... very normal for a Sunday morning... told mum not to buy breakfast for me cos i would leave the house by 10am... she asked if i wanted half-boiled eggs... told her i was too lazy to do them myself... so mum did the eggs for me... mum's forever such a sweetie!!
met Ken and Kerry for K-Lunch (KKK eh?) at Marina Square K-Box... Jensen joined us at around 11:45am... good food, nice ambience and great singing... thanks to Ken for making the trip...
after karaoke, we decided to catch a movie... GV Marina had a pathetic selection... after checking the internet, we walked to Prince theatre to watch Hostel... read and heard so much about the Quentin Tarantino movie... expected a lot of gore and blood... BUT it was still manageable... my lunch was intact, digesting in my body after the movie... the one-eyed Japanese girl was darn stylo... and i liked the good guys win ending...
noticed the whistling in the movie... Kill Bill had whistling too... hehe... coincidence #1...
dinner was at Chin Chin's @ Purvis Street... simple meal... Kerry's bonus treat...
(from top left: steamed chicken, pork chops, omelette, oily chicken rice + soup + chilli + dark soya sauce, longan drink, aloe vera drink)
the aftermath...
Kerry left us after dinner... he's attending Mark's party with his friends...
Jensen & i went to Victoria Theatre to watch Dunman High School Chinese Society's performance titled "The Rhapsody Of Spring"... it was a night of dance, cross-talk and theatre... good stuff by the standards of a secondary school... i was especially impressed by the Chinese opera segment... well done to all the boys and girls who put in so much of effort to make this a success... i was with the Chinese LDDS during my year one in AJC... brought back memories of those days when we were preparing for our annual performance too...
one of the dance item used the opera song from The Fifth Element... this morning i was just downloading it to be my ring tone... coincidence #2... spooky...
here are some pictures from the Dunman High performance:
on the way back, we stopped by The Padang for the May Day concert... caught the last 2 songs by Stefanie Sun Yanzi... perfect way to end the evening...
a big hugs and thanks to Jensen for keeping me company throughout the entire day...
