Shaun's 40th Birthday...
celebrated Shaun's 40th birthday at PS Cafe (off Dempsey Road)...
Kenneth booked it one month in advance...
was not impressed with the place, the service and the food...
only the long black coffee was good...
cannot understand how come the place was still so crowded after so long...
Kenneth bought a specially ordered cake from Shangri-La...
very expensive cake...
but the amount of marzipan used to create the swimming pool and the figurines were too much...
nearly the entire restaurant joined in the singing of the birthday song led by the cafe's staff...
we did our own version of "You've Got A Friend" after that...
thanx to Titus for printing the lyrics...
handed Shaun the double happiness bedsheet from Anthropology...
i would have bought one for myself if not for the steep price...
after dinner, we headed to Ministry Of Sound in Clarke Quay...
surprisingly, a virgin trip for all of them...
showed the gang around to the various room...
frankly, i was tired during the dinner...
was out since 12pm...
met Desmond for the Arts Festival performance: Play! A Video Game Symphony...
an Asian premiere...
conducted by Arnie Roth and performed by the Singapore Festival Orchestra...
cute to see the computer game flashing on the screens while the orchestra were playing the theme songs...
and i realised that both Super Mario Bros and Sonic The Hedgehog have 3D versions...
