Limits...

was happy with my personal best timing at this year's AHM...
but was saddened by the news that a young 25yo captain died after the run...
there's a report on him in today's Straits Times...
he was the fastest runner in camp...
and he completed the 21km in 1 hour 30 minutes...
amazing timing!!

moral of the story is that we have to know our own limits...
be it physical or mental...
when it's time to stop, stop...
and when the body is screaming for help, listen to it...

there are also other limits that we have to contend with in life...
for example relationships...
not just the romantic kinds...
but also the business or family types of relationships...
there are times we give in to someone we love (or like)...
without thinking about ourselves (why do you think they said that "love is blind"??)...
but i say we have to keep reminding ourselves what we want from it...
and end it when it is necessary to do so...

easier said than done, one might say...
how many of us are able to do it??
i wonder...
