Lunar New Year’s Eve...

had our steamboat reunion dinner in the evening...
and continued with the Australian Open after that...
while waiting to leave for Chinatown to meet Jason and Camiel...

the objective to visit Chinatown was to soak up the “人气” for the new year...
Chinatown was not as packed as it used to be...
we were still able to check out the stalls...
after receiving enough “人气”, we proceeded to Marina Bay for the River Hongbao...
we stopped for beer at Harry’s Bar in The Esplanade...
by the time we finished our beer, the River Hongbao was closed for the day... lolz...

i have no idea how our conversations were on quite heavy topics for a Lunar New Year eve...
from double standards of how Caucasians are treated more fairly in the service industry to how Singaporeans tend to stay with their families and losing their freedom (when compared to the Caucasians)...
with our cultural, political and social differences, such comparisons are inevitably unfair...
but we each have our own values and as long as we do not impose our own standards on others, we will be fine...
