Final HBOT & Acupuncture #6
went for my final HBOT today... mixed feelings really...
happy cos i wouldn't have to go through the tiring treatment process... the nauseating feeling in the chamber sucks and i've done that for the last 3 weeks...
sad cos i've had a bond with the nurses, receptionists, doctor and the elderly patient, Mr Kam...
bought some biscuits / cookies from Marks & Spencer for the people at the Hyperbaric Centre... nothing fanciful... something simple to thank them for the care, concern, joy and laughter... we had fun over the last 3 weeks... especially with the varied music CDs i brought each day...
over the last one week, there has not been much noticeable improvement to my hearing... maybe it has peaked... hope not... or i would be having this 60% hearing in my left ear for the rest of my life?? duh...
----------
it was the usual acupuncture after HBOT... nothing special worth mentioning...
----------
went to Cheng San Community Library to borrow a book... checked online in the morning that the book was available at this branch... hoping that it would still be available when i reached at 8:30pm...
the title of the book is "How Full Is Your Bucket?" by Tom Rath and Donald O. Clifton... check out www.bucketbook.com... saw the softcover book about a month ago at MPH... wanted to buy it but didn't... decided to check if the library has it and BINGO! it does... save me some money... in a nutshell, it's a book about being positive in life and at work... hope to learn a thing or two...
another reason why i am reading non-fiction now is for my book reviews... since the company implemented the 5-day work week, we have to chalk up 70 hours of "extra-curricula activities" and reading was one of them... for books of less than 200 pages, each book review is worth 5 hours... and for books of more than 200 pages, it's 10 hours... hehe...
thank goodness i have always been reading... tho' more of fiction stuff...
