yesterday ended the 7th month with a 4D consolation prize... my birthday, 1130... hahahaha...
Pam Oei may have a petite frame... but this girl is gifted with a huge voice... her performance yesterday at Happy was nothing but fun, hilarious and melodious...
some memorable pieces she did included:
1. Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody (tribute to Ivan Heng for his use of Queen's music in the play, The Campaign to Confer the Public Service Star on JBJ, which was part of the recent Singapore Theatre Festival)
2. Nat King Cole's Unforgettable (where she changed the lyrics to Face-Forgettable, in response to Dr KK Seet's comments that she has a forgettable face on Monday's ST Life!)
3. Karyn White's Superwoman (using her Indian accent)
4. New Order's Bizarre Love Triangle (with the audience singing with her)
5. Singapura
6. Olivia Newton-John's Hopelessly Devoted To You...
most of the audience stayed for the second set although it ended pretty late, at around 12:45am...
in conclusion, Pam Oei Rocks!!
just realised that i was born on a Thursday... time to fill my life with purple (the colour of the sexually-deprived)...
and here's what it all means:
You will go through certain periods in your life when your sense of freedom and independence will be of paramount importance. During these times you will not allow yourself to be restricted, tied down or controlled by anyone or anything.
You are broad minded, honest and generous in many ways, so you cannot tolerate people who are mean, petty, narrow-minded, bigoted or dishonest. Purple is Jupiter's colour, so you should use a touch of it in jewellery, clothes, accessories, and decor, to attract success and good fortune.
today is the last day of the 7th Lunar Month...
commonly known as the Hungry Ghost Festival...
be more careful hor...
did Bodypump at Raffles Place Cali... i simply adore Wai Han... she's so fun and so pretty...
increased my weights from 3.5kg to 5kg for the leg segment... and from 2.5kg to 3.5kg for the others... barely surviving... saw this guy carrying 20kg on each side for the leg segment... impressive...
do not what's wrong with me... but i just signed up for the 21km run at the Standard Chartered Marathon 2006... was feeling a little lost when i realised that i am not running in the Army Half Marathon this Sunday...
do not compare me with someone else... we are all different... how easy it would be if all of us are the same... but then, how exciting is that?
well... it's less than four months after the General Elections and he's delivering his National Day Rally speech... as expected, after GE, no goodies... compare that to last year, pre-GE year...
politics... with a capital "P"...
oh ya... he said we need to attract more "whoreign talents"... where do Singaporeans stand then?? well, Singaporeans become the "foreign talents" of other countries then...
last night reached home after clubbing and SMSed Kenneth that gym was cancelled... i was too tired for anything that physical... not even a hunk can wake me up from my sleep...
Saturday (19 August 2006)
met my colleague at Bugis Cali for a demo on how to use the machines... it's been more than 3 months since i joined, yet i've never used the machines before... hahahaha... so many different types of machines for different muscle groups... confusing... but it was a good introductory tour... anyone here wish to help this blur gymmer-in-the-making... please make some noise... thanx in advance!!
rushed to Cineleisure K-Box for K-lunch... it's only S$8.75 per pax... cheap cheap... but they changed the chicken lunch menu... no more fried chicken... instead it's teriyaki chicken... and no more fruits... instead it was pre-packed jelly... yucks!! the staff requested for our feedback... and i gave them my most honest feedback about the bad food and dessert... of course took the chance to inform them the air-con is forever so chilly cold lor...
shopped a little at HMV with Kerry... bought The Last Emperor and Stacie Oricco's DVD... sale mah...
headed home for tuition from 4pm to 7pm... prelims are coming and my student still has not memorised all the formulaes... how to pass like that... ticked him off...
after tuition, showered and got into my new bods shirt, getting ready for brother's birthday dinner at M Hotel... it's steamboat buffet... nice food...
Saturday was spent tutoring my kid, sleeping and jogging @ Punggol Park... did 8km in 50 minutes... not too bad considering it's my second time running anything more than 5km in months...

last minute decided to go for the Singapore Theatre Festival organised by Wild Rice! watching four shows in total:
my colleague commented that i look bigger now... the shoulders... probably it's all the bodypump that's working? but the tummy is still there... more yoga and more bodycombat!!
