KTV Friday...

the Board Meeting finished at 7:30pm... considered early... was expecting 9pm...

met up with Kerry for dinner at Suki Sushi Cineleisure... bad food, bad service... not going back...

then it was KTV at K-Box Cineleisure... Cineleisure seriously gotta do something about their lifts... all the lifts going up were full... we had to take the lift from 4th level to the ground floor before going up to the 8th floor...

we sang from around 11:00pm to 3:30am... amazing...
realised that we were not acquainted with the lastest Mandarin hit songs...
time to update ourselves...
was singing oldies all night long...

Dad's Birthday Dinner @ Imperial Treasure

celebrated daddy's and elder brother's birthday @ Imperial Treasure Teochew Cuisine in Ngee Ann City...
my third time dining at the restaurant...
the food is still as yummy...
and the service is still as good...
a must try...

came home, watched episodes 2, 3 and 4 of Heroes...
i am officially a Heroes addict now...

Raku Ninja Lunch...

yesterday was pay day and today we decided to go for a better than S$3.00 lunch...
wanted to go to Mint Cafe along Seah Street but the rain changed our plans...
ended up in Raku Ninja...
the new place in CityLink...
had their tempura ramen...
nicely decorated place...
the prawn and vegetable fritters were nicely done...
and the ramen was just right...
chewy chewy...
but they took too long to serve our food...

Movie & Heroes Wednesday...

met up with my secondary school mates, Steve and KW, for Pathfinder...
after all the negative remarks from various sources...
we went in without any expectations, or maybe, negative expectations...
and we were pleasantly surprised...
i agree that there wasn't much of a plot...
and the movie reminded me of Apocalypto, tho' the latter was way better...
but Pathfinder was still very nicely filmed...
the set of snowy mountains, caves and waterfalls took my breath away...

three of us had coffee and cakes at Rocky Master after that...
it's so nice to catch up with each other...
thanx to Steve for sending us to our doorsteps...

came home, showered, drank mum's chicken-feet-and-peanut soup...
and i succumbed to the temptation and became one of many Heroes-converts out there...
finished episode one at around 1am...
totally in love with the series now...
probably no life for the next couple of weeks just to finish the series...
similar to what happened after i got the entire Sex In The City series...
but i am not complaining...

supposed to go for bowling tonight...
but no lane cos the Civil Service Club has a league going on...
so we are watching The Pathfinder...
and i have heard so much negative comments about the movie...
after we have booked the tickets...
will still try to enjoy the movie...

Heroes Marathon...

all thanx to Yunhuei... now i can start my Heroes marathon... yeahness to the max...

and i am contemplating to go gym or to go home to start the marathon...
hmmm...

The Phantom of The Opera...

thank God Kerry will be going with me to watch the musical next Tuesday...
i know you will always be there for me... lolz...

the tickets were bought months ago when xiaogui wanted to watch it...
then things between us turned sour (and we are no longer in touch anymore)...
and DK agreed to watch with me...

been reminding DK many times about the date of the musical...
yet he has booked a flight to Japan for an exhibition on that fateful 3 April 2007...
and now he's banned from all outings organised by me...
except for this Saturday's birthday celebration that i have arranged for Kenneth...

could this be a sign that i should just stay home and watch the DVD version of the movie (which i just bought from HMV during lunch)...
also bought Beaches (Special Edition)...

during lunch time, went down to the Institute Of Internal Auditors (IIA) to register for my Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) exams...
four papers plus registration fees set me back S$775...
sigh...

today is the last day to register for the exams...
to my horror, i was not registered in their membership database...
the membership number they sent to me in December 2006 belongs to another person of the same name (BUT different surname)...
let's see what they are going to do now...

with a miserable 157, i still managed to clinch the Top Male Bowler title last night at the company's bowling competition @ Marina Square...

i am now deciding between watching Letters From Iwo Jima alone or go for a run later this evening... tough choice...

went for a 8-km run on Monday night... wanted to do 12-km but my legs couldn't hold... it was, after all, my first run in nearly two months... since before Chinese New Year... still aiming for a sub-2 at the StanChart's half marathon at the end of the year...

the week passed by so quickly... i've been back from my Australia trip for a week now... i know i should be posting my travelogue and pictures sooner... sorry folks...

Friday Night

Friday night met up with Kerry for dinner @ Central HK Cafe... still my favourite HK cafe in Singapore... but that's probably because i have yet to try the Kim Gary in Vivocity... then it was drinks @ Meritus Mandarin's Meze Bar (they used to call it the Mezzanine a couple of years back)... Shaun, Kenneth & Jon joined us... updated each other on the latest, especially my rendezvous in Australia... ;-p the duo performing in the bar was so-so only... but the seats / sofas were so comfortable that i nearly fell asleep in them...

we left at around 1:30am... wish that Shaun is feeling much better after meeting us... there's so much we can do about work, sweetie...

Saturday

wanted to go gym... but was lazing at home the whole day...

met up with Eugene for dinner before Titoudao... interesting play... the actors / actresses have difficulty delivering their lines in Hokkien... only Sebastian Tan (aka Broadway Beng) was able to pull it off perfectly... the story was simple, yet touching and meaningful... reminded us of the things we have lost or are losing due to the development / changes in this world... wayang or chinese opera is near extinction now... how sad is that??

took the bus home... save money lah... cos i want to buy a flat in 2008... reached home... watched Shortbus... interesting movie... lotsa sex (straight, gay, S&M, etc)... is it considered soft porn then??

Sunday

woke up late... had breakfast... and went out for tea with David, Shaun, Kenneth and Jon... first it was coffee and cakes @ Projectshop Cafe in Paragon, while waiting for Kenneth and Jon... i had my cuppacino and the mango banana rumble... by the time they arrived at 3:50pm, we had finished our meal and called for the bill... we then adjourned to Royal Copenhagen in Takashimaya for dinner... i had the high tea set of two mini sandwiches and two cakes and a coffee...



(salmon with egg and shrimp mini sandwiches... ginger and semolina cakes...)

after dinner, went shopping with Shaun at HMV... bought magazines...

reached home and watched the Ren Ci Charity Show... was touched... made two $15 calls... then saw Ugly Betty... quite funny... Vanessa Williams was so evil in the show... hahahaha... also watched Amazing Race All Stars Version... so glad that Rob and Amber were eliminated...

think i had caffeine overdose... couldn't sleep... was watching Heroes until 1+am... sigh...

ordered their Big Big Breakfast (they serve breakfast all-day)...
very big indeed...
