Mood Ring...
lately, i've been wearing this mood ring i bought in Australia back in 2003... lost the sheet of paper that has what each colour means... googled this:
the colors are listed according to the change in temperature they represent, with dark blue being the warmest and black the coolest.
- Dark blue: Happy, romantic or passionate
- Blue: Calm or relaxed
- Blue-green: Somewhat relaxed
- Green: Normal or average
- Amber: A little nervous or anxious
- Gray: Very nervous or anxious
- Black: Stressed, tense or feeling harried
mine seems to be purple most of the time... and they told me that "purple" means sexually deprived... am i?

Arty Saturday - 22 April 2006
woke up in the morning... still quite tired... had to rest more... long day ahead...
saw KC's SMS that he had arrived in SG safe and sound... KC's passion for movies and musicals puts me to shame... he's been travelling to SG for the Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF) for the last few years now... this year we're also watching West Side Story, his favourite musical...
we were on the first row... although the ticket said Row D... cos the first three rows were converted to the orchestra's area...
West Side Story was not too bad... it wasn't excellent, if you ask me... the set was huge and very grand... i enjoyed the singing and the dancing very much... but the sound system like not functioning properly leh... probably it's the microphone losing its sensitivity... also the second set ended too abruptly... and too short, compared to the first...
my colleagues, Chikako and Eryna saw the musical too... they were seated a few seats away from us... we met the two ladies for a Chinese lunch @ Centre Stage Marina Square... good food... very filling... reasonable prices... yet again, i forgot to take pictures... hahahaha...
after lunch, we went our separate ways: the ladies went shopping (and they SMSed me in the night that they were at Equinox, Swissotel, for dinner and drinks, as well as to enjoy the breath-taking views of the city from the 70th floor)... KC continued with his SIFF... i dropped by MPH and managed to finish reading Brokeback Mountain the short story...
i met Ken @ the NTUC auditorium for Huang Shujun's concert, which ended at 11:30pm... Ken had to miss Ben's birthday party eventually... the concert was great... Shujun could talk a lot... brought back some memories of the 80s and early 90s...
after the concert, we both headed home... i needed to rest for the trip to the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve tomorrow...
Goodnite all arts lovers out there...

21 April 2006 (Friday) - Californa Pizza Kitchen
dinner at California Pizza Kitchen... and as usual, i forgot to take pictures... not of the food, but also the people... sigh...
it was SL's treat after getting his bonus... first time saw his girlfriend... very quiet... very reserved... nice lady... Kerry, LK, Karen were there too... LK & Karen going for their ROM on 1 June 2006... the traditional dinner will be on 19th November 2006... one week before my cousin's wedding on 26 November 2006... 4 days before my 34 大寿... dunno whether can go or not... cos usually when two happy occasions come together, bad things will happen... 喜冲喜...
Duck Rice @ Circular Road...
had dinner at the high class kopitiam @ swissotel... took pictures of the menu... BUT not the food... sigh... i had the ayam panggang...
lunch @ some famous duck rice place along Circular Road... forgot to check out the name... hahahaha... this time i remembered to take pictures... heading to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner tonight... a friend's bonus treat... hopefully i remember to take more pictures... especially the dessert... hehe...

Haunted...
by my past...
met R to discuss about the life policy that i wanted to buy... the insurance company decided to "load" the premium for the full 15 years of the policy... because of my past medical conditions... sigh... did not take up the policy...

Easter Sunday
it's Easter Sunday... not been to any Easter vigil mass since 2004... four years and counting...
tuition at 11am... WJ was late... and he looked tired... we had breakfast before finishing the Maths homework i gave him... after that, we went through his school's 2005 mid-year examination papers... quite easy leh... a couple of questions surprised me though:
1. express 1995 in 3 significant figures
2. which of the following is / are irrational numbers: ,
, 22/7, 3.142
after tuition, i went to take a short nap, while waiting for mum to get ready lunch... got out of the house at around 3:45pm... met the gang at Gelare East Coast... and it started pouring... hence, no blading... three weeks in a row... sad...
waited for the rain to subside before heading to the hawker centre next to Parkway Parade (PP) for dinner... had chwee kuey, rojak, char kway teow, chicken chop, fish, otah and ngoh hiang... and of course soya bean drink... good stuff...
window-shopped at PP... Dom brought me to look at the blades in some sports shop... i was very tempted to get the $199 ones... but didn't... sigh... the entire gang had their blades already... i'm the last one... pressure sia... will decide before the end of the month... since i won't be blading this weekend...
the evening ended with dessert at some cafe in PP... delicious cakes and stuff... and quite cheap too... hehe...
it was home sweet home followed by bed comfy bed...
the long weekend has finally come to an end...
i was happy... enjoyed myself thoroughly...
2 more long weekends coming up in May... yeah!!

The Day After Good Friday...
woke up at 9am... wanted to sleep longer... but succumbed to my body clock... had breakfast, bought 4D... and finally got through The Arts House ticketing hotline to book tickets to Singapore GaGa...
left the house at 12pm... met my Jedi Knight, Jasen, at The Arts House...

Singapore GaGa was a good piece of local documentary... the main point (to me) was about music... from toy pianist Margaret Leng Tan to the cha kiak man @ Raffles Place MRT; from harmonica performer to "one-dollar" tissue seller; from the voices behind those MRT announcements to the news announcements in various dialects on radio...
i especially enjoyed the part about why we were made to learn to play the "useless recorder" in schools... instead we should have been taught to play the harmonica or some other instruments...

nice lamps...
